mountainous island whose verdant jungle interior veils rambling banana
plantations, St. Lucia is a land of many splendors. Its coastline
harbors hidden coves and prisitne beaches. While recently making its
way onto the mass tourism radar, St. Lucia is still a tranquil, unspoiled
island by comparison. |
| Being that it's a small island in the Caribbean, it's
no surprise that most of St. Lucia's activities revolve around the water.
The beaches
on the west side of the island host calmer waters perfect for snorkeling
and scuba diving; the ones in the south less crowded than
the more touristy northern section of the island. The south side of
the island offers a bit more wind for windsurfing.
The interior of the island offers some beautiful scenery for
hiking and
horseback riding. St. Lucia's incredible beaches and scuba
diving have made it a popular item on Equator's "Favorites"
