wind for windsurfing and the east coast has great swells
for surfing. The area's waters are teeming with fish
providing decent deep-sea fishing. If you're more for
viewing than catching, many companies run sunset cruises
and boat tours, or for a unique look below the waves, Atlantis
is a 28-seat submarine that gives underwater tours
of the reef. The islands lush interior hosts a variety of attractions such as Harrison's Cave and Welchman Hall Gully providing incredible scenic hiking. Several companies offer organized tours to see the sites by car, or you could try horseback riding. The interior also hosts an array of restored plantation houses that are open to the public. The island is also home to a couple of good golf courses: The Barbados Golf Club and Rockley Golf & Country Club. But, the most popular on shore sport is cricket. Matches can be viewed at many places around the island. |
