The Destination Guide asked its fans to recommend the best places to visit in Columbia, SC, narrowed our favorites down based on highly secretive criteria, then traveled — camera in hand — to go behind the scenes. Below are our Best of Columbia winners. For good measure, we also took a trip into the nearby town of Lexington, where we discovered two gems.    I LOVE the Plex in Irmo. You’ve got to go there. The ice skating and skateboard park are awesome and we always have fun when we go there.
