Congratulations to The Crash Pad, winners of The Destination Guide’s Best of Chattanooga competition. A cross between a traditional hostel and a boutique inn, The Crash Pad received more than 2,000 views on its video in 30 days. Located in Chattanooga’s artsy Southside neighborhood, the hostel itself is a work of art, from custom-made bunks to counters inlaid with bicycle parts.  The ideal launching point for Chattanooga’s adventure-seeking visitors, The Crash Pad has two types of rooms: bunks for $27 a night and private rooms for $70. Cats Limited, The Destination Guide's Best Vet in Conn.

The Destination Guide has named Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital the Best of Connecticut. The Hartford-based vet was founded by Dr. Diana Lafer in 1995 after five years in general practice. Located in a renovated 19th century farmhouse, her practice focuses exclusively on cats and specializes in “special needs” cats, including those with diabetes and kidney problems. New York-style bagels in San Antonio, who knew? Opened in 2009 by a husband-and-wife team who had previously opened a Bagel Factory in Augusta, the San Antonio restaurant serves the same fresh-made bagels and sandwiches.
